What does Occupational Therapy look like❓

It looks like someone practicing how to button a shirt again. 👔 Rebuilding the strength and dexterity to hold a coffee cup. ☕ Rehearsing the motions to prepare a simple meal and learning to use a reacher to safely pick things up without bending 🫳.

During Occupational Therapy Month, we’re celebrating the amazing therapists who help our rehab patients rebuild confidence, independence, and the skills that make daily life meaningful. 🫶

April is Volunteer Month, and we are celebrating the amazing people of all ages who share their time with our residents. From calling bingo to painting nails 💅, performing music 🎵 to simply sitting and chatting, our volunteers bring an essential joy and connection to our community.

We had a blast celebrating St. Patrick's Day! ☘️ We started the day with bingo, followed by the dice game "Roll A Rainbow." 🌈🎲 Then, we had Family Feud in the dining room, — St. Paddy's edition! The room got pretty loud, but we had a GREAT time! Lastly, we capped our festivities off with green drinks and Lucky Charms trail mix! It was a day for the books. 💚
