September 21 is World Alzheimer’s Day, a powerful reminder for us to unite in raising awareness, fostering education, and extending our support to those living with dementia. This year’s theme, “Ask About Dementia,” encourages us to embrace questions that spark conversations and deepen our understanding.

Here are a few questions to inspire meaningful discussions about dementia:
What’s the difference between dementia and Alzheimer’s disease?
How can I communicate more effectively with a loved one living with dementia?
What signs should I be aware of if I suspect someone may be experiencing memory loss?

🌟We're Honored to Serve🌟

We are proud to announce that our hospice has been awarded the Hospice Honors Award, a national recognition that celebrates excellence in hospice care. This award reflects the voices of our patients and their families, and it honors our team's unwavering commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality care during life's most delicate moments.

This achievement belongs to every nurse, aide, social worker, chaplain, volunteer, and staff member who brings heart and dedication to our mission every day. Most importantly, it belongs to the families who trust us to walk alongside them--we are deeply grateful for that privilege.

Thank you for being part of our community. We remain committed to serving with empathy, dignity, and excellence.

April is Parkinson's Awareness Month, a time dedicated to raising awareness about Parkinson's disease. This degenerative neurological condition affects movement and can lead to decreased motor skills, balance, speech, and sensory function.

Our MDs and Nurse practitioners (NPs) at Lily Medical Group play an essential role in supporting individuals with Parkinson's disease. They are often the first point of contact for patients, providing valuable education and support while working closely with other healthcare professionals. They help patients navigate their symptoms, manage medications, and make lifestyle changes that can improve their quality of life.

National Volunteer Month is a heartfelt annual celebration that honors the remarkable contributions of volunteers across our nation. This month is a time to express our deep gratitude to those who generously dedicate their time, skills, and energy to support meaningful causes.

In hospice care, volunteers are especially vital; they provide essential, non-medical support to patients and their families during some of life’s most challenging moments. By offering companionship, emotional support, and practical assistance, volunteers play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for those facing difficult times, making a significant difference in their journeys.

Did you know that November is National Hospice and Palliative Care Month? It’s a wonderful time when hospices all over the country come together to spread the word about the compassionate care available for individuals facing life-limiting illnesses.

Every year, around 1.6 million people in the U.S. benefit from the support of hospice and palliative care providers, according to the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization. These dedicated professionals are here to help patients and their families find dignity, respect, and love during what can be a very tough journey.

We'd love to help you learn more about hospice care! Feel free to give our office a call at 262-235-3115. We're here for you!
