Get ready for your upcoming race!
Hey Everyone!
We can't wait to see everyone this weekend for the 6th annual Bone Yard Trail Run. Please read through the event details so you are ready for an epic race.
Pre Race:
Packet pick up with be from 5:00 - 6:00 on Friday at the trail head. We will be under the pavilion, so even if it rains a little we should be ok. If you are planning on camping there the night before, try to get there as early as possible to set up. We will be camping there with you guys! Bring a tent and a tarp. It may be a little wet.
Race Day:
The race will be located at Mt. Zion Bike Trails. The address is 1160 Mt. Zion Rd in Brookhaven, MS 39601. We will race rain or shine this Saturday. All distances will take off at 7:00 a.m. sharp this year. Registration will start at 6:00 a.m. Please be there as early as possible to make it less hectic on our volunteers.
Racer Information:
Cut off time is 10 hours. You will not be able to go out on your last loop if you do not make it off your second loop by 1:00 p.m. There will be 2 aid stations, but please bring your own hydration packs. It is hot and humid this time of year. You can refill at the aid stations. If you wish to drop down after the race has begun, you must notify someone at timing immediately. You will not be eligible for awards if dropping after the race begins. If you let us know before the race starts, you can still drop and be eligible for awards.
Course Information:
The race course is approximately 10.3 miles long, and is identified on the course with markers that say RC. Please follow the signs for RC. The other areas will be roped off, so you shouldn't get off course. If you find yourself on a road, remember you signed up for a trail run, please find your way back to the trail. If you are doing the 10 miler, you will do the loop one time. 20 milers will do the loop two times, and our 50K runners will complete 3 whole loops. There will be two aid stations on the course and one at the Start/Finish. The first will be around 3ish miles in, and another at mile 7ish. There will also be more food and drinks at the Start/ Finish which will be at mile 10ish. This course is hilly and it is always hot, so pace accordingly.
Post Race:
Please stay after the race for food, refreshments, and to hear everyone's experience on the trails. Stay and cheer our endurance runners on!
If for some reason you cannot attend the race, we will miss you, but we can not refund your fees. Everything is already purchased in advance. We can however give you a code for next year.
