I wasn't really paying attention to the numbers, but somewhere in the hustle and bustle of running a healing practice, building an institution that not only centers Black women's pleasure and healing, but trains international s*xologists so that it can be a global phenomenon, and living my best expat life, I have summoned 5k followers on this app.

Good Morning New People and Old Friends, if you are new here, allow me to introduce myself!

My name is Amina, and I am a pans*xual sacred s*x worker, founder of the Atlanta Institute of Ta**ra & Somatic Sexology and host of the Atlanta Ta**ra Fest. I am a coach and educator whose work is in the body, pleasure, intimacy, awareness and liberation. Although my work centers the pleasure of Black women, I work with all the way gender expresses itself and a variety of ethnic origins. When I am not working you can find me playing in soil, hugging trees, smelling flowers and making things that grow from the earth taste yummy. Pleasure is not only ministry, it is my way of life.

I have a community of beautiful souls that expands across 38 states and 14 countries, and if you want a peak inside I will give you one for free, all you have to do is fix your lips to ask.

My goal is simple: to help you return home to your body, so that you can experience the pleasure that is your birthright. I believe the self-help model is a dying one, being replaced by one that focuses self-trust and awareness. You are already whole, you just might not know it yet.

While words are beautiful and conscious communication is my specialty, a written explanation can only go so far. If you are interested in connecting with me, my books are open at the moment but will probably be closing in the next couple of weeks as I only work with a handful of clients at a time. You can always attend one of my classes or hang out with me in person at one of my events. Or you can just follow along here on FB until you are ready to immerse yourself in one of my international retreats.

My goal is to show you the power of or****ic living, to change the way we have been taught to see eroticism and the body, and to create spaces where healing can take place. Thank you for hanging out with me and helping on this way.

This is an old article but a good read. A lot of non-Black people have written me over the past few years asking if they could attend Atlanta Institute of Ta**ra events.

My events have always centered Black Women.
Centered.

Others are welcome, but as this article explains, we just don't encourage it. We also don't discourage it. That's the thing about intentional community, and most Ta**ra, Yoga and Meditation communities in America are intentionally old and white.

Guilt and shame are tools the mind uses to check out of the body.

Developing a relationship with the body doesn’t leave space for guilt and shame. We simply become aware. Awareness of our experiences and places where we have experienced trauma

The only way we don’t live in the shame and guilt of what has happened, the only way we get to know who we truly are, we have to recognize all of our experiences as a part of who we are, without identifying as the experience.

You have experienced loneliness, you are not lonely.
You have experienced anxiety, you are not anxious.
You enjoy s*x, you are not a “whore” or promiscuous.

Where do these experiences live in the body? When you show up s*xually, are those parts of you being touched and shared?

Sexual experiences are opportunities to heal from guilt, shame and trauma. Are you allowed to experience yourself in such a beautifully vulnerable place?
