Seeing double? Yes, you are. Often, we are called on to duplicate a particular monument. It’s usually that of an ancestor or other family member. When past monument records aren’t available, we make a trip to the cemetery to calculate measurements, take rubbings/tracings of the design as well as the fonts, and make current pictures to match it as best we can, like we did here for the Thompson/Boyte family. Let us help you create the perfect “match.”

Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone in our community who suffered damage from last night’s tornadoes. As of this morning, there are no reported fatalities, but the loss of homes, personal property, and timber is great. Unless you are coming with a chainsaw, skid-steer, or other equipment to help, please stay off the roads, particularly Hwy 51 South, Arlington, Springfield, Calvary, and Stoneybrook. Some parts are still covered in debris and this is no time for sightseeing. We are sure there will be numerous opportunities to help in the days to come.

Cinco de Mayo is the annual celebration commemorating the Mexican army's unlikely victory over French forces at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. For Americans, it has become a day to patronize our favorite Mexican restaurant. (Falling on Taco Tuesday is a bonus!) How many of you will be eating Mexican food today? 🇲🇽 🌮 🌵
