Bro. Parsons, 94, of Wesson, Mississippi, passed away on Monday, December 29, 2025. He was born in Lucien, Mississippi on January 20, 1931, to William “Frank” Parsons and Blanche Smith Parsons.
Albert loved his wife and family, first and foremost. He also loved his country, serving in the United States Air Force in Amore, Japan. “Bro. Albert” was a Christian and served the Lord and the church as a deacon, minister of music, and as a pastor of Unity Baptist Church, Sardis Baptist Church, Springhill Baptist Church, and First Baptist Church of Fayette. His greatest passion was for missions. He worked for over forty years for BellSouth and served as Vice President of the Communications Workers of America, Local 3511 for most of that time. He was an avid outdoorsman, and loved to hunt and fish, though he sacrificed many opportunities for his own success in the woods in order to take time to teach his children and grandchildren the sport as well. He will be missed by his family and all those who knew him. He left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Hilda Parsons; son, Albert “Bert” Milo Parsons, Jr.; brothers, Thomas Parsons (Martha), William “Jack” Parsons (Marie), John Parsons (Helen), Edward Parsons (Bobbie), and James Parsons; sisters, Sallie Keene (Junior), Marie O’Quinn (Thomas), and Ruth McDonald; along with a brother-in-law, Jimmy Walker.
Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Louise Burch Parsons; his children, Jane Hudgens (Steve) and Thomas Parsons (Tracey); daughter-in-law, Pam Parsons; five grandchildren, Jeremy Thompson (Penny), Belinda Thompson, William Parsons, Taylor Parsons, and Grasey Parsons; six great-grandchildren, Sean Pearce (Autumn), Morgan Thompson (Tressie), Peyton Thompson (Kourtney), Garrett Pearce, Alexandra “Lexie” Pearce, and Elizabeth “Lu” Pearce; three great-greatgranchildren, Milo Thompson, Brandon Pearce, and Truitt Thompson; and one expected great-great grandchildren, Vivian Thompson. He also leaves behind, three sisters, Elaine Aldridge, Mary Hamilton (Robert), and Ann Walker; one brother, Wayne “Buddy” Parsons; and a brother-in-law, James McDonald.
The family would like to thank Marty Ballard, FNP, and his staff, as well as the staff of Fresenius Dialysis, and Bristol Hospice for their compassionate care.
