🍫🥤 Celebrating National Chocolate Milkshake Day with lots of smiles!

🇺🇸 Honoring 9/11 and Our Local Heroes 🇺🇸

Today, on the 24th anniversary of September 11, 2001, we pause to remember the lives lost, the courage shown, and the resilience of our nation. We will never forget the sacrifices made on that day—and the bravery of the first responders who ran toward danger to save others.

This morning, Deaconess Hospice Brookhaven had the privilege of honoring our own local heroes with a special First Responders Drive-Thru Appreciation Event. 🚑🚓🚒

We were humbled to welcome EMTs, paramedics, firefighters, police officers, and sheriff’s deputies who drove through to receive swag bags filled with snacks and water as a small token of our gratitude. 💙

To all first responders—thank you for your calling to serve and protect. Your dedication makes a difference every single day.

On Thursday, September 11, 2025, Deaconess Hospice Brookhaven invites all first responders to drive through our office parking lot at 1385 Johnny Johnson Dr, Brookhaven, MS from 8:46 AM – 10:03 AM.

This time frame is designated because it marks the most significant moments on September 11, 2001—
✈️ 8:46 AM: American Airlines Flight 11 struck the North Tower of the World Trade Center.
✈️ 9:03 AM: United Airlines Flight 175 crashed into the WTC’s South Tower, confirming the U.S. was under attack.
✈️ 9:37 AM: American Airlines Flight 77 crashed into the Pentagon.
✈️ 10:03 AM: United Airlines Flight 93 crashed in Pennsylvania after passengers and crew bravely resisted the hijackers.

In remembrance of that day and in gratitude for your service, we’ll be handing out swag bags filled with snacks, water, and more as a small token of appreciation for the sacrifices you make daily.
