A heartfelt thank you to all who have served and helped preserve the freedoms we cherish every day. Yesterday, we were deeply honored to host a beautiful Veterans Day Program presented by the American Legion.
From the posting of the colors, to the singing of our National Anthem, to the moving words of encouragement and heartfelt prayers—it was a truly inspiring tribute to our veterans. The room was filled with pride, gratitude, and love for those who have worn our nation’s uniform.
We are so thankful to everyone who made this special program possible and to all who joined us in honoring our heroes. Your service and sacrifice will never be forgotten. ❤️🤍💙

Our first-ever Leadership Retreat in Oacoma, South Dakota, brought together our incredible Executive Directors and Directors of Nursing for a week filled with learning, laughter, and connection.

Hosted by the iconic Al's Oasis, our theme, “Howdy, Partners!” perfectly captured the spirit of teamwork and South Dakota pride. From unveiling our new Mission, Vision, and Values to training on crucial conversations and welcoming new onboarding tools, this retreat was all about growth, gratitude, and celebrating the people who make Peaceful Pines feel like home.

We had an amazing time last week with Triple J Juggling! He wowed us with his incredible juggling skills, kept the crowd laughing, and even added a musical twist to his performance! 🎵
The best part? A few of our brave residents stepped up to learn the basics of juggling — and they were naturals! 🤹‍♀️👏

Veterans hold a very special place in our hearts here at Peaceful Pines. This year, we wanted to do something meaningful to show our gratitude. With the wonderful help of the homeschool group Brookings LIFT, we created a beautiful Veterans Tree — each ornament lovingly filled with a thank-you note or prayer for those who served.
We’re so grateful to our veterans for their courage, sacrifice, and service. ❤️

💙 Another Bucket List Moment for Phyllis! 💛

This weekend, we took a very special trip to cheer on the South Dakota State Volleyball team, and for Phyllis, it was more than just a game. Attending an SDSU Volleyball match was on her bucket list, and we were thrilled to help her check it off!

It was her first-ever volleyball game, and what a game it was — SDSU won! 🏐💙 To make it even more memorable, Phyllis met Jack and took photos with several players after the match. The smiles say it all!

We’re so grateful for moments like this, living life together, one bucket list at a time. 💛

What a spooktacular Halloween it was here at Peaceful Pines! On Thursday, our residents handed out candy to over 100 adorable trick-or-treaters — from tiny superheroes to sparkly princesses, we saw it all! 🍬✨
Then on Friday, the fun continued with our Halloween Party full of laughs, trivia, festive punch, and delicious treats. The room was filled with smiles, spooky decorations, and plenty of boo-tiful memories! 💜🕸️
We’re already counting down the days until next Halloween! 👻🎉
