My name is Adriana (RYT 200) and I teach a Hatha style practice to bodies who would like to try to explore the relationship of body and mind through breath and gentle movement.

In our society,
the powerful practices of yoga and meditation have often been disproportionately associated with women, but the truth is, the benefits for mental and emotional well-being are universal, and men are often disproportionately left out
As a man who grew up with a lot of those old messages, I know firsthand how challenging it can be to break through the programming that tells us to just "tough it out." But I've also seen how practices like yoga and meditation are crucial for building emotional intelligence and resilience—qualities we all need.
For the women in my life, I've found that their support and openness have made a world of difference. To all the men out there, know that taking care of your mental health is a sign of strength. And for everyone, let's encourage the men in our lives to feel good about exploring these practices.
Sidenote, physical Yoga practices are often presented by perfectly fit individuals. As a certified yoga teacher with around 13 years experience leading classes, I really like to emphasize that the postures and movements could look different for everyone, male or female. And if the "perfect pose" is unobtainable, then the practice is not about touching the toes for example, but its about one's journey on the way their toes, on all levels - physical, emotional, mental, spiritual ~~
I also draw in my background in special education specializing in adaptations & modifications. Restorative Yoga which is done with full supports for the body is one of my favorites ~
Yoga and meditation are for every body.
It's great to see more and more Yoga & Meditation offerings in town, I hope guys of all ages are supported to check it out ~

If you’re local to Curry County, you’ve more than likely heard about the tragic boating accident Sunday evening that has left local community members devasted and full of grief. Yoga is the call to action when the going gets tough and the going is about as tough as it can get for some right now. So I ask myself “What can you do right now?” I have spoken with REPS gym here in Brookings and being the amazing local COMMUNITY FOCUSED gym they are- they have collaborated with me for a fundraising event to provide the space and props with all drop in proceeds benefiting the Nelson and Bruner families that I have had the honor to know and have crossed life paths with. 🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️❤️‍🩹
This is the small town difference and connection based relationships that remind me I live in a goldmine of a village. Planet fitness could never.

Join me this Sunday for a full moon beginner friendly practice at 1:00p.m. Reps Gym $15 suggested donation. Feel free to arrive 15 minutes prior and help yourself feel lighter while you help make others lives lighter. We are breathing ripples. 💫💫💫🙏🏽❤️‍🩹

HELLLOoOooo EVERY BODYYYY~
2+ years of public asana+ classes, first yoga gathering event has completed and I am mind blown at how quickly we’re back at summer’s last inning stretch again. 🥹🙏🏽

Sometimes life seems to go so slow with nothing happening but the tiny actions every day. Then sometimes it feels like waves of what you prayed for and worked for land right in your lap. I try my best to live my life in a way where I make the most of both. I try to live my life in a way where I wake up so grateful, that I look forward to the being alive & trying part more than anything. The miracle of existing at the same time as so many people, pets, plants, and places that I love. Even the losses start to look like art with eyes like that. My heart feels like it’s been touched by all your love, my eyes are absorbing the present moment best they can, my belly feels full with fire and a hunger for what’s to come- and I’m not just talking breakfast. 😉

Do you know what it feels like to feel like your people give you permission to take up space as you are? It’s the feeling you have all given me, too. The seat of the student/teacher is always changing. Thank you for letting me be me. ❤️❤️⚡️

A space for community within each other, a space for the self. Above all, this event will give you time to disconnect from the outside world and check in with YOU.

Been thinking about how I never want to do the work but danggggggggg does doing the work make me feel oh so good and like I should really do this again to keep coming back to the feeling. 🥵😋 Sometimes, sooooOoOometimes- the resistance is the answer. ❣️ Did you know that you’re scientifically made up of 70-80% WATER, and the quality state of water is resonance. Water literally Re-Members. There are waters within you that remember patterns, habits, and also carry WISDOM. (Write that part down, too)

For as long as I can remember, music healed me before I even knew what processing an emotion was. Music healed me before I knew how to hold space for myself. Music helped me vibe to the mental state I was feeling, and not only vibe to it, but transition through it. Sound helps move the waters within you. Breath helps move the waters within you. You are an ocean, inside of a body. Take up space, let it go. ⚡️💫🙏🏽❤️

Sound bowl practice turned into an impromptu guided breathing meditation seven minute practice to sit with the breath and just notice what you notice!

I did not plan to lead a guided mini meditation, but after some soundbowl play, my heart said why not and my brain led the way. 🙂

This is my yoga practice in real life, real life ripples, one thing leading to another thing, because it's what feels right and natural in the moment.

All optional, except for your breath. Permission to back out of practice at any point in time, in this practice, and in your real life. Change course as often and as many times as you’d like. You’re the captain. 🥳⚡️

19 Minute Full Body (Mostly Hands & Knees) Yoga Style Flow

Rule Number 1: If it works, work it! AKA, if it feels good proceed, if it brings you pain, back out and come into any rest shape of your choice. Your breath is a great way to gauge your practice. Easy effortless breath is good yoga, short, forced, or uneven breath could be a sign to do 5-10% less. All optional, EXCEPT for your breath. 🤩🤘🏽⚡️
