Story time.

Thursday, 12/28, we (my kids) just wrapped up a 3-day basketball tournament in Worcester. We were driving home around 9 pm, and I developed crushing pain in my chest 😫 I drove past all the Worcester hospitals 🤦🏾‍♀️ praying to make it into Boston.. I jumped off 90 and headed straight to the Brigham. I was terrified as was my kids & family.. I received a full workup, and the pain was not related to my heart or lungs - thank God 🙏🏾

As this ordeal was unfolding, I had a million things running through my mind.. as a provider, I was considering differential diagnoses - all the things that the pain could be (scared the crap out of myself).. 😫 I was also thinking about all the young people who have passed - my social media has been full of death announcements.. 🙏🏾 My life was literally flashing before my eyes.. & I was so worried about my kids 😔

I was able to calm myself down a little by thinking about all the things that I was sure that I did not have - high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, etc .. At this point, I was so very thankful that I have religiously kept up with my physicals (primary care). Are you keeping up? 😳

Oh, and dont play with chest pain. Get help right away.. 😬
