Look for these indicators on the can to know if you are using the affected formula:

the first two digits of the code are 22 through 37 AND
the code on the container contains K8, SH, or Z2 AND
the expiration date is 4-1-2022 (APR 2022) or later.

On this snow day: If you have a question about your sick child please call the office — we are available for emergencies. We will be conducting telemedicine visits for urgent problems as necessary. You can also use MyChart to message us any non-urgent questions you have. Stay safe!

It’s time to start vaccinating 5-11 year olds against COVID! We are now giving it at regularly-scheduled well visits and at our indoor COVID vaccine clinics (starting 11/8). Look for a message in MyChart in the next few days inviting you to make an appointment and then choose the time that works for your family. We look forward to seeing you there!

Our Vaccine Queen has done it again! Over the last few weeks Dr. Zandman gave COVID vaccine boosters to all of our providers and staff. She is working hard to prepare the office for vaccine clinics for our 5-11 patients starting SOON! Stay tuned for more information here and in your MyChart account.

Today we kicked off our second season of outdoor flu shots and it was a success! Dr. Dollinger and crew vaccinated over 80 patients and their parents in the parking lot and saved them the trip up to our office. We will have many more of these clinics this fall, so schedule yours today in MyChart (mychart.chppoc.org). New indoor and outdoor slots are posted every week!

Do you need a covid test: to go to school or daycare? For travel or returning from travel? Because you have covid symptoms? Or because you've been exposed to covid?

We have can perform covid testing for both symptomatic and asymptomatic patients in our office. Result turnaround time varies from under an hour (NAAT) to under 12 hours (PCR). We are happy to test parents as well (turnaround time for NAAT is the same; for PCRs it is 2-4 days).

We were covid-testing machines in the office today! Drs. Zandman & Saillant performed the nasal swabs and Dr. Saillant's daughter was their assistant on set up and clean up. At this point in the pandemic, the help was much appreciated!

Dr. Saillant has never been afraid of a little potty talk! See below as she helps ‘decode’ diaper colors.

Remember that earth tones are okay; black, red and white are not!

New parents change hundreds of diapers in the first months of a baby's life. Different colors and textures are normal, and all babies are different.

“In general, earth tones are okay – think greens, yellows, even orange,” says Dr. Meredith Saillant at Brookline Pediatrics. "But black, red, or white should prompt a call to your pediatrician."

The infant vaccination rate in our practice is very close to 100%, even during the pandemic! We are extremely proud of this fact and thank our parents for prioritizing vaccines and preventative health even though getting into our office has some extra hurdles these days. It's so worth it!

Let's talk about COVID testing! We get lots of questions about what kind of testing we have to offer in our office.

We have four machines that run fast nucleic acid amplification tests (molecular tests that detect COVID RNA) and deliver results in under an hour. We've had great success using them for the last 9 months.

We can also send COVID PCR swabs directly to Boston Children's Hospital with a turnaround time of approximately 4-8 hours.

So, should you need us, we've got you covered!
