Sugar is not the only cause of cavities.

Cavities form when germs in your mouth make acid after you eat foods with sugar or starch. Snacks like bread, crackers, and chips can be just as bad for your teeth as candy if you eat them often.

Try to limit sugary and starchy snacks, and rinse your mouth with water afterward.

For National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, it is important to acknowledge that people of color (POC) encounter significant disparities in breast cancer screening, treatment, and outcomes compared to White women due to many historical factors and social determinants of health. As a result, it is important to increase POC women' efforts in representation in clinical trials, access to mammograms, affordability of health insurance, awareness of symptoms, and knowledge on how to perform a breast self-exam to check for changes in breasts.
