Batteries Have Gone "Green"

If your hearing aid batteries are not lasting as long as they use to or giving you intermittent performance check to see if you are using the new “green” batteries. Most manufacturers have replaced batteries that contain a very small amount of mercury with “mercury free” batteries referred to as “green batteries”. The package will say “mercury free” and most have a picture of green grass to designate they are safe for the environment.

When you purchase mercury free batteries turn the package over and look on the back for the voltage which should read “1.45 v”. Ray-O-Vac batteries are the best choice since they now read “1.45v” and should perform the same as you are use to. All other brands, check the back of the package prior to purchase.

You may call the office and request batteries from us. We still have some standard batteries in stock and guarantee the performance. Regular batteries with mercury have “1.4v” or “1.45v” printed on the back and will work fine. Please keep in mind our battery prices are less than the chain stores. Any questions, please give us a call.
