🦷 Traumatized Front Teeth — Same-Day Implants

After a traumatic injury, this patient presented with three broken teeth that are non restorable.

Following careful clinical evaluation and 3D CBCT + digital intraoral scanning, we selected the ideal treatment plans for extractions /immediate implants placement, and immediate fixed provisional restorations.

The implant positions were was digitally planned based on the final teeth design. On the day of surgery, atraumatic extractions, implants placement, bone grafting, and fixed temporary crowns were completed — allowing the patient to leave with teeth the same day.

After healing, the final screw retained implant crowns were delivered with stable function and natural esthetics.

⚠️ Immediate implants are case-dependent and require thorough evaluation.

Had a great day at the Invisalign treatment planning course!
So much to take away—from advanced strategies for ClinCheck planning using 3D simulation to real-time smile design that helps visualize orthodontic and restorative outcomes.

Even though we got the iTero scanner over a year ago, we’ve been too busy to explore all its features. But now I’m seriously impressed. Not only does it scan for clear aligner cases, it also generates a Patient Health Report showing detailed info on bite, wear, and periodontal health—instantly shareable via QR code and saved as a PDF for tracking treatment progress.

Time to put these amazing tools to full use and bring even more value to our patients!

I am honored to have returned to my alma mater to complete the Mini Residency program in Orofacial Pain and Temporomandibular Joint Disorders. During this program, I had the privilege of receiving direct mentorship from Dr. Noshir Mehta, the founding director and professor at Tufts University Craniofacial Pain Center. Dr. Mehta is an internationally renowned expert with over 50 years of experience in the field of pain and joint disorders. This invaluable learning experience has deepened my understanding of temporomandibular disorders (TMD), bruxism, and related orofacial pain conditions, and has enhanced my clinical skills. I hope to apply this knowledge to help more patients alleviate the pain and challenges associated with joint disorders and bruxism. 🙏

Recently, I flew to Minnesota to attend the Academy of General Dentistry 2024 Annual Meeting and Awards Ceremony. After three and a half years of hard work, earning more than 500 AGD / PACE recognized dental continuing education credits, and passing the fellowship exam, I've officially received the certification of an AGD fellow, becoming one of 6% of all dentists in the United States with FGAD honors 😁😁
