Our story starts in 1917 on Cleveland's near west side, where Alex Rusynyk opened a funeral home to serve the growing immigrants from eastern and southern Europe. Michael Yurch joined the firm in 1942 working with Alex's son Steve to continue the family run business, Rusynyk-Yurch Funeral Home on West 14th Street. nued its service for the near west side communities of Cleveland. Jerome Yurch, the current President of Yurch Funeral Home entered the business in 1971 and with an understanding of the changing demographics of Cleveland moved the firm to its current location on Broadview Road in Parma in 1973.
