Tomorrow is Grief Awareness Day, and we pause in a community still mourning recent tragedy in Minneapolis—the loss that touched our hearts at Annunciation Catholic Church. At Saint Therese, we’re deeply committed to supporting one another. Our full-time pastoral care directors -- including John Ilkka at Saint Therese of Oxbow Lake, stand with residents, families, and staff through grief's difficult moments. 💜

🙏 Our hearts are heavy as we grieve with our brothers and sisters at Annunciation Church and School in Minneapolis following yesterday’s tragic shooting. We hold the entire community in our prayers, asking God to bring comfort, healing, and peace to all who are affected.

Today we lifted up in prayer all those impacted by the Annunciation Parish and School shooting. May God’s comfort and peace surround the victims, families, and community. 🙏✨

During our time of prayer today, we asked the Lord to bring healing, strength, and hope to everyone touched by this act of violence.

We're thrilled to share that a wonderful group of volunteers from IFC National Marketing has started assisting us with Bingo in our Assisted Living Memory Care area at Saint Therese of Oxbow Lake. These amazing individuals have been rotating through to volunteer in this capacity and will now be joining us monthly. And, they’ve generously donated the prizes for the Bingo games they help facilitate. A huge thank you IFC and all of our volunteers for their dedication and support!

We had a fantastic National Night Out at Saint Therese of Oxbow Lake!
The evening featured a DJ, ice cream, a visit from the Brooklyn Park, MN - Police Department, and three wonderful volunteers from Target. Thank you to everyone who helped make it a memorable night!

Today we honored staff in a rose pinning ceremony who residents and team members said bring our values to life! Special congrats to Janesha Turner for being our quarterly Rose Award winner and for bringing her very proud and beautiful children to the ceremony.

A legacy nearly 60 years in the making.

As the Saint Therese Auxiliary formally disbands, its impact continues—through stories, friendships, and two permanent endowment funds that will support our residents for generations to come. From running gift shops to organizing Twins outings, these dedicated volunteers made Saint Therese feel like home.
