So. Much. This ♥️

“I like using the term “nursing” sometimes instead of “breastfeeding,” because sometimes it’s not about hunger.

Sometimes, it’s about baby wanting to cuddle with you, smell your sweet scent, and cozy up to your warmth.

Sometimes it’s about feeling lonely or scared, and mouth to breast provides connection.

Sometimes it’s about the pain of teething, or needing antibodies to get over a cold.

So remember, you are so much more than a food source - so. much. more."

“Human gestation is 18 months. 9 months on the inside. 9months on the outside. During this 9 months on the outside called exogestation, I like to think of the Mother and Baby still connected through an energetic umbilical cord.

Physiologically Mama and Baby need to remain close for at least the first 9 months of postpartum.

Breastfeeding, baby wearing, bed sharing this all physiologically necessary for a baby to truly flourish.

It is very similar to Kangaroos, where the baby is born but stays in the Mother’s pouch until around 8 months. Human gestation has evolved to be born at 9-10 months due to the size of the human head but a baby’s brain is really only 25% developed when born compared to other mammals who are fully functioning and able to walk and get themselves around. Human babies need their Mothers to get around, to be fed, to be protected and cared for.

So Mamas keep your babes close.
Hold them.
Love them.
Sing to them.
Eye gaze with them.
Breastfeed them.
Share a bed with them.
You are energetically still pregnant and nourishing them, just from the outside.” Found on:

Because birth happens ANY way the baby chooses to be bornn! ♥️♥️♥️

“This incredible Mama knew that the energy she needed to step into for her birth was a masculine one...

And this is exactly what showed up.

Her birth journey was long and intense and she was strong. Throughout the many waves of her contractions she journeyed deep and far..
She stood and walked and swayed and moved and napped

She went through moments of "I can't do this" and moments of "I totally can do this"

She lent into the strong arms of her partner as she stood in her utter strength to birth her baby...

And she roared.... oh she roared...

She roared her baby down

Into the waiting arms of her beautiful midwife, who had the most incredible "catch" ....a literal catch in the air.

She speedily unwrapped of his very long cord, wrapped twice around his neck.... and gently put him onto the sweet birthing mattress below..

Birth is so darn powerful. So darn challenging and hard.

And they did it.
Baby boy is here.”
