If my last attempt to unalive myself was successful, my sun wouldn’t have memories of me, only pictures and stories. I was about 6 weeks postpartum, and the weight of mothering without support was entirely too much for me. I’ll spare you the details as I’ve shared my story in my blog (link in bio), but it’s been a long journey.
Motherhood, in a society that consistently sanctions violence and disregards their responsibility to us, can be overwhelming, isolating, mentally draining, and honestly, incredibly dangerous. So, creating community-led sacred spaces for all of us is 🔑🔑🔑
Sacred spaces where we can honor ourselves, knowing our lives were never meant to be defined by the standards of a white supremacist capitalist patriarchy, and be supported in deeply meaningful ways as we reclaim our birthrights.
I’m honored to be a part of a community where we are doing the work, and I hope you’ll join us.
