A great turnout for our Annual Kings County Lifestyle Medicine Health Fair at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County.

From fitness and meditation to nutrition and meaningful conversations, the event brought together our teams and community to focus on whole-person health and everyday wellness, with strong support from our Wellness Department.

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped create an engaging, impactful experience. This is what it looks like when we invest in prevention, connection, and healthier lifestyles.

In recognition of Black Maternal Health Week, our Maternal Child Health/Labor & Delivery Departments at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County hosted an informative and engaging event focused on maternal health, equity, and support.

In partnership with our Domestic Violence and Social Work teams, the event fostered meaningful conversations on improving outcomes and ensuring every mother receives the care and dignity she deserves.

This work is ongoing, and our commitment remains.

Our Nutrition Team brought National Nutrition Month to life across the hospital and in the community. From engaging students at PS091 Elementary School to hosting interactive events for staff, patients, and visitors, the team shared practical tips, encouraged healthy choices, and made nutrition both fun and accessible. Their impact continues to strengthen healthy habits and community partnerships!

🏅 D3 South (CCU/MICU) received the 2024 Gold Beacon Award, the program’s highest distinction.
🥈 D3 North (SICU/NSICU) received the 2025 Silver Beacon Award.
