I am a hand, a hug, a swaying partner as labor builds. I am a witness to the miracle of your transition into parenthood. I'm your advocate at every turn. I've been drawn to doula work as an opportunity to pl
ay a nurturing and supportive role in one of life’s most important experiences. After several personal experiences with birth and encounters with inspiring birth professionals, I trained with DONA International to be able to offer my own support to laboring women and parents, as their doula. I relate deeply to the pregnant women, women in labor, and mothers I empower through our inherent social, psychological, and biological kinship. I have a degree in Anthropology from Brown University, where I've studied and written about the experiences of surrogate mothers. I was a producer on the film “40 Weeks,” a feature-length documentary exploring the lives of a diverse group of pregnant women around the country. I've also lived and studied abroad, working to empower women and entrepreneurs in India and Saudi Arabia. I was born in New York City, I've spent most of my life here, and I'm now honored to serve the amazing mothers of this area.
