We began with a foundation of Bikram Yoga, which is a powerful series of 26 Hatha Yoga postures practiced in a room heated to 105 degrees Fahrenheit. Each posture builds upon the previous posture and prepares you for the next. In this way, the series systematically stimulates and restores health to every muscle, joint, and organ of the body. This practice boasts many physical, mental, and emotional benefits.

Step into a more powerful, embodied practice with and . This energizing, hands-on workshop breaks down the 26+2 sequence in a way you can truly feel-through dynamic demos, focused drills, real-time posture insights, and partner-assisted practice that gets you learning by doing.

Discover how each posture is meant to support your body, build confidence in your movement, and leave with practical tools you can use right away. This workshop is open to all students, teachers, and trainees.

What to Expect:
A hands-on, engaging exploration of the 26&2 (Bikram) sequence through partner work, creative drills, and real-time posture breakdowns that help you truly understand and refine each alignment. 
 
You’ll move, explore and collaborate while learning practical assist techniques and discovering what your body needs in each posture.
 
You’ll Leave With: A deeper understanding of alignment based on your individual needs Techniques to help you break through plateaus in your practice More confidence giving and receiving assists as a teacher A more honest relationship to your own body inside the 26&2 practice

Settle in however you feel called - lying down, seated in meditation, resting, dreaming, journaling, or simply being. Allow yourself the space to receive as you’re guided through soothing sounds of harmonium, Sanskrit mantra, and crystal singing bowls.

Ashtanga Yoga is a dynamic, structured practice that links breath with a set sequence of postures. Developed by K. Pattabhi Jois, it uses rhythmic breathing, gaze, and internal energy locks to build strength, flexibility, and focus. This steady, guided flow helps reduce stress, support the nervous system, and deepen the connection between breath and movement - while allowing you to progress at your own pace.

Join our community hot yoga class, guided by graduates of our original Hot Yoga Teacher Training. This space allows new teachers to build confidence and experience, while the community gathers to move, connect, and support one another—at an affordable rate. All levels are welcome. We’re so excited to introduce you to our new instructor, ✨

Kayla Rebecca Reece is a Brooklyn-based Guyanese woman who has been a dedicated student of yoga for 15 years. She joined Yoga Tribe Brooklyn in 2018 to deepen her practice and quickly became part of the beautiful and supportive community.

Through her work in women and gender studies, and as a Tarot reader, Kayla is deeply committed to paths of liberation and wholeness for all people. After completing her 300HR Teacher Training with Yoga Tribe Brooklyn, she is now stepping into this new role with so much heart.

We feel truly honored to have her guiding and supporting our community on the mat 🧘‍♀️ 🧘‍♂️ 🧘
