My son just committed to Clark Atlanta University.
And I’m sitting here with tears in my eyes because this moment is bigger than just a college decision.
This is about legacy. This is about purpose. This is about a young Black man stepping into his destiny at an HBCU that has been shaping leaders, innovators, and changemakers for generations.
Clark Atlanta isn’t just a school - it’s hallowed ground where dreams take root and futures are built. And my son chose to plant his flag there.
I’m proud doesn’t even cover it.
I’m in awe of his vision. I’m grateful for his courage. I’m moved by his commitment to walking a path that honors those who came before him while blazing a trail for those who will come after.
This is where his legacy begins.
Not when he graduates. Not when he lands his first job. Right now. In this decision. In this moment of choosing excellence, choosing community, choosing to be part of something greater than himself.
CAU, you better get ready. My son is coming to leave his mark.
And to my son - I see you. I believe in you. And I cannot wait to watch you soar.
