We hear the government talk a whole lot about protecting life and caring for women and children. They talk the talk for sure but do they walk the walk?
The United States has the HIGHEST maternal mortality rate of any high income country. That's caring for life? Over 80% of maternal deaths are preventable! That's protecting women? We expect (force, really) mothers to return back to work within days of giving birth, separating human mothers from their babies sooner than we can even legally separate puppies from a dog. Make that make sense.

We're tired of the talk. We're ready for action. That means funding doulas and midwives. That means cultural preparedness in medicine. That means paid parental leave policies.
Through our advocacy and doula training programs, we are working tirelessly to achieve birth and racial justice for Black and brown folks because we actually care about you and we're here to prove it.
