From pre-op to 1 year post-op
Surgical correction takes patience, but the results speak for themselves. Healing is a process….trust it.
This patient underwent hammertoe correction with digital shortening to restore alignment and create a smoother, more cosmetic toe parabola.
When toes sit out of place, they don’t just affect appearance - they can also cause pain, difficulty with shoe gear, and pressure sores over time. By shortening and realigning the toes, we’re able to both improve function and give the foot a more natural cosmetic look.
Recovery doesn’t happen overnight. At 2 weeks, swelling and stitches are still visible. By 4 weeks, the shape is taking form but the healing process is ongoing. And by 1 year post-op, you can see the final result: a functional, pain-free, and cosmetically balanced parabola.
Every case is unique, but the key takeaway is that foot surgery requires patience, trust in the process, and careful post-op care. The results, as you can see, are worth it. 👣
