Dr. Alexander Brun is a skilled gastroenterologist serving patients in and around Sheepshead Bay and throughout Brooklyn, NY, providing state-of-the-art care for an array of conditions, including irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), chronic abdominal pain, and liver and pancreatic diseases, as well as screening for colon cancer. Board-certified in internal medicine, Dr. Brun is dedicated to providing each patient with individualized attention and care based on every person's unique medical needs. After earning his medical degree at SUNY Downstate Medical School, Dr. Brun completed a residency in internal medicine at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and a fellowship in gastroenterology at North Shore Long Island Jewish Health System, where he served as chief gastroenterology fellow. Extensively published in peer-reviewed medical journals and textbooks on an array of gastroenterology topics, Dr. Brun has also earned numerous awards and continues to pursue continuing education opportunities to ensure he can offer his patients the most comprehensive array of care options available. In addition to seeing patients at his private practice, Dr. Brun also maintains a hospital affiliation with Mount Sinai Beth Israel Hospital where he serves as an attending physician. He also maintains an active membership in the American College of Gastroenterology. Dr. Brun enjoys seeing new patients at his office in Sheepshead Bay, where he and his staff speak English, Spanish and Russian.

Dr. Prateek Chapalamadugu is board certified in Internal Medicine. He is currently a member of the American College of Gastroenterology and American Gastroenterological Association. Dr. Chapalamadugu was born in Florida and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Miami in 2004. He also obtained a Masters in Applied Physiology as medical degree from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Sciences in North Chicago, Illinois. He completed his internal medical residency and Gastroenterology fellowship training from Winthrop Hospital in Mineola, New York.

Dr. Chapalamadugu specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of various gastrointestinal disorders including diseases of the esophagus, stomach, small and large intestines, liver, gall bladder, and pancreas. He has expertise in various endoscopic procedures, such as upper GI endoscopy (EGD), colonoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, and capsule endoscopy. Dr. Chapalamadugu firmly believes in compassionate and patient focused care where the patient and the physician work together to achieve quality healthcare.
