Here are a few tips from the team at Allergy & Asthma Care of Brooklyn to keep your family healthy:

Before the snow starts, run through this quick checklist:
💊 Check Your Stock: Do you have enough maintenance meds? Is your rescue inhaler full and unexpired?
🧣 Scarf Up: If you go out, wrap a scarf over your nose/mouth to warm the air before it hits your lungs.
🔥 Avoid the Smoke: Wood smoke is a major asthma trigger. Keep the fireplace off and grab an extra blanket instead!
🏠 Watch the Humidity: Keeping indoor air between 30–50% helps prevent both mold and dry-air irritation. If you have HEPA air filters to remove airborne allergens - don’t forget to keep those running!
