✨Trauma to Triumph: The Power of Early Intervention✨

After a traumatic injury, our patient’s permanent lower right incisor was displaced into an abnormal position, lying flat on the gums.This set off a chain reaction disrupting the eruption of the lower right lateral incisor and ultimately causing the lower right canine to become impacted.

Through early orthodontic intervention and collaboration with Dr. Roumi at Brooklyn Pediatric Dentistry, we were able to address the issue before it became more complex. By creating the right conditions for natural eruption, the lower right canine successfully came into place.

This case highlights the importance of timely treatment in preventing long-term complications and setting patients up for success. Now, when the time is right, this patient will be ready to begin comprehensive orthodontic care under the best possible circumstances a true transformation from trauma to triumph.

Turning Setbacks into Smiles 🦷✨
After an accident, our patient lost his upper front tooth, and by the time he came to us, the space had already closed. Using rapid palatal expansion and self-ligating braces, we were able to reopen the gap and restore proper alignment for his implant. The case became even more complex because he was also missing both lower second premolars and had ankylosed baby molars. We carefully prepared those sites for two lower implants while completing his upper implant restoration. Today, he finishes treatment with a full, healthy, and confident smile!

🌟 Transformation Tuesday! 🌟
This brave patient’s journey is one of resilience, teamwork, and stunning transformation!

She came to us after a traumatic dental injury where her front tooth was completely avulsed (knocked out). Though her general dentist was able to place the tooth back in, it ankylosed (fused to the bone), preventing normal development and alignment.

That’s where we stepped in. Using orthodontic treatment, we carefully created the ideal space for a future implant. This precise planning made it possible for oral surgeon Dr. Steve Manzon (Ocean Parkway OMS) to place the implant and prosthodontist Dr. Gary Nord to craft a beautifully natural-looking crown. 🦷✨

Now, her smile is not only whole again its absolutely radiant. 💫

There’s nothing like a gooey, yummy brownie to make you smile, right?😋This time, we’re making them gluten-free so everyone can enjoy the scrumptious flavors! Here’s how we make the magic happen.

What you need:
🧈1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted, Dairy-free use Smart Balance Butter.
🍚3/4 cup granulated sugar
🍚1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
🥚2 large eggs
🍚1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
🍚3/4 cup all-purpose gluten-free flour I like
🍚1/2 cup cocoa powder
🍚1/2 teaspoon baking soda
🍚1/2 teaspoon salt

What you do:
🍫Preheat oven to 350º F
🍫Spray the 8×8 8-square baking pan with nonstick, gluten-free cooking spray or line it with parchment paper
🍫Coat the bottom and sides with gluten-free, nonstick cooking spray or butter
🍫In a large bowl, add melted butter, pure vanilla extract, granulated sugar and brown sugar and mix until fully combined.
🍫Add in eggs one at a time and mix until fully combined.
🍫In a medium-sized bowl, combine gluten-free flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt and whisk together.
🍫Slowly add the gluten-free flour mixture to the wet ingredients and mix until fully combined and smooth.
🍫Pour the brownie batter into 8×8 sized baking pan.
🍫Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out just barely clean. The sides of the brownies will start to pull away from the pan. Please watch your brownies because all ovens are different.
Remove brownies and allow to cool completely. Enjoy! 😋

Perfect for a cozy night in or a sweet after-dinner delight. Your taste buds will thank you. Let’s make your braces journey a bit sweeter, one skillet cookie at a time! 🍴

What you need:
🍪 3/4 cup almond flour
🍪 1/2 tsp baking soda
🍪 1 tsp vanilla
🥚 2 eggs
🧈 1/2 cup almond butter
🥥 1/2 cup coconut sugar
🧂 1/2 tsp salt
🍫 1/2 cup chocolate chunks

What to do:
🍪 preheat oven to 350 and spray your skillet
🍪 mix your eggs, almond butter, and sugar together.
🍪 add in your dry ingredients, and fold in the chocolate
🍪 add to the skillet and put more chocolate chips
🍪 bake for 20-23 minutes
🍪 sprinkle Maldon salt and serve with ice cream
