We had a blast this past weekend at Intense Men 2026! The staff and our residents camped out under the stars and competed in a variety of events as over 2000 men gathered together at Jordan Ranch to worship God, fellowship, cook and compete! Thanks to Powerhouse Church for always putting on such a great event!

Fantastic time at The Stoller Foundation yesterday facilitating a Kingdom Building Ministry Workshop with Guy Caskey or The M4Network. The purpose of this workshop was to connect, cultivate and collaborate with non profit leaders across the greater Houston Metro area who are in the transitional housing and recovery space. How can we be more intentional in working together and empowering our residents to become disciples of Jesus who make other disciples so The City of Houston can become a City of God! We are better together!

This past Saturday the men of Manna House stepped into the fire together at the F3 Kiln 🔥

What an incredible team-building experience.

Over 90 minutes, our 2 teams of 8 — residents and staff side by side — pushed through 8 challenging stations while carrying an additional 300 pounds of rucksacks and weight-filled backpacks between us. There was no shortcut. No way around it. The only way through was together.

Walls had to be climbed. Weight had to be carried. Stations had to be completed. And more than once, a brother had to lift another brother when his legs were shot.

That’s the picture of what we’re building at Manna House.

Recovery isn’t a solo sport. Freedom isn’t found alone. Leadership isn’t forged in comfort. It’s built under pressure — shoulder to shoulder — when the weight is heavy and quitting would be easier.

Saturday reminded us:
• Every man carries weight
• Every man needs help at times
• Every man has strength to offer
• Unity multiplies endurance

Residents and staff didn’t just finish stations — we strengthened trust, sharpened leadership, and deepened brotherhood.

Set free.
Set apart.
Set on fire. 🔥

Proud of these men. The Kiln tested us — and it brought us closer.

We can’t say enough about how much we are thankful for Kingsland Baptist Church and all they do to support everything. God is up to at the Manna House and in and around Brookshire. Yesterday during their Caring For Katy initiative, over 100 volunteers descended upon the Manna House grounds for a variety of beautification projects, including putting in a toddler play area at our Awakening Coffee shop! We are so thankful for great partners like Kingsland, who mobilize people and resources to help grow the vision. God has given us.

We had an awesome time serving at the Feed The Hunger Packathon this past Thursday! Over the weekend the Packathon will pack over 700,000 meals to send out locally and globally! Awesome to see the Brookshire and Katy communities come together for this awesome event ever year!
