BUZZ-WORTHY EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH!
Shalonda Harris RN!

Shalonda has been an employee at BHCC since May 2020, She started here as an LPN on long-term care. In December 2022 she advanced her career to become a Registered Nurse. In April of 2022 Shalonda worked as a Risk Manager for a window of time, but returned to working as a nurse on the floor to go back to bed side care. She is a strong nurse who takes great pride in the care her residents receive. She has strong knowledge of her residents' needs and history, which enables her to quickly address issues that may arise in their health. She follows policy and procedures and always does what is asked of her. Her documentation is precise so that on coming nurses can see how the residents did during the shifts prior. Shalonda takes accountability for herself while also assisting her CNAs with showers, changing briefs, assisting other nurses, and helping with documentation. In her free time, Shalonda is a devoted wife, and a mother of two young ladies, one who graduated high school and another one who is about to start high school. Shalonda is a sports mom, and makes sure that she is there to be the biggest cheerleader for her daughters, as she is for her patients. With a great work life balance, Shalonda has proven to be a key member to our facility and the HSM corporation.
