Ok, I need to address something,
The #1 thing people ask me is "how do you do it all?" And then that question is ALWAYS followed by "do you ever sleep?"
Yesterday someone asked me again so here ya go...
Sleep is my #1 priority!!! I am SLEEPING/ totally out by 830pm lol
I have severe PTSD around sleep. My twins each nursed for 30min every 3 hours and then after nursing I would pump for 10 min to increase milk supply all night long🫣🥴 It actually gives me anxiety just typing it out.
As far as my "todo list" I dont look to far ahead or ill panic. Literally one foot in front of the other. By the end of the day, when im so exhausted and I cant imagine picking up all these toys, art supplies, and all the kids s**t, im Literally repeating in my head "just pick it up put it away" over and over because otherwise Im so overwhelmed I dont know where to start.
Figure out what NEEDs done in the day to make sure everyone stays alive. Feed kids,husband, animals, make sure there is firewood, milk cows, etc. There are very few days now that only the minimum gets done, but it happens and I laugh it off.... unless it happens 2 days in a row lol
There was a time not long ago I couldn't do anything except care for the kids. I remember muting/unfollowing ALL my favorite health influencers on social media because if I heard 1 more person say you loose 10 years off your life for every bad night sleep or skipped meal or whatever I would have to be admitted!! Because yeah NO S**T but I got babies to nurse 🥱
Mamas, you're not failing, we do have the same hours in a day, im just in a different phase than you right now! Ive been where you are! Its ok!! You will get there... this to shall pass 😌
I remember I couldn't figure out what made me happy anymore, so I made a list of "things that make me happy" the only 2 things I could come up with was sparks from the fire, and birds. 🤦♀️😅 so Shane would build me a little fire in the yard in the evenings after " newborn witching hours " and I would listen to the birds in the morning.
