Maybe you’ve been to a billion practitioners of this or that specialty discipline, and none of them seem to know what’s going on, but they all seem to think that it’s you who doesn’t get it…

It feels terrible to feel like something is wrong and you don’t even know what needs to be fixed!! Or, that whatever needs to get fixed feels impossible…

Well, I am here to bring back some humanity and sensitivity and deep listening. While I always humbly refer out to specialists when necessary, I truly believe we can bring immediate relief by tuning in to the body’s immediate needs.

The body is constantly communicating with us. There are 15 billion neurons in the body (not including the brain) trying to speak UP to the brain!

My healing methodology is a BOTTOM-UP approach. I believe that what your body says is more important than trying to fit you into a rigid framework that we are trying to enforce from an intellectual but not FELT place.

Your body is truly wise. YOU are profoundly wise. Maybe something that is not working for you, actually isn’t for you, and that’s totally ok. There is so much spaciousness to explore for anything that arises in the healing field.

Not to get too esoteric though… everybody could probably just use a damn good massage. And I am here for that too.

May you find your version of peace, ease and happiness today. 🍵💛💫

The pressure to hustle forward is relentless. I wonder sometimes, if the pressure to do more and *do more faster* is contributing in a significant way to people’s experience of pain?

Have you ever paused from the *insistent* task load to: rest, eat something, reregulate, and maybe even have……. 🤫fun?

Have you ever had fun before? How did you feel in your body!? 😉💃😃

Personally, I know that hustling too much contributed to knee, hip and spinal pain. I have since learned that I can actually do more by resting more.

Which leads to making fewer mistakes and having more confidence to do bigger things in life.

When you give the body enough time and space to powerfully enter into the parasympathetic nervous system response (aka “rest, digest, repair, reproduce”), the body starts to magically jigsaw all the pieces back together.

Peristalsis of the small intestines and lymphatic vessels resumes. Cortisol and adrenaline levels slowly trickle downwards. Inflammatory biochemical cascades complete themselves.

And the body’s energy field starts to emanate a sense of fullness, suppleness and radiance.

I invite you to give yourself permission to rest just a little bit more today. See if the returns are worth the investment.

And as always, I am here to support. Like or reply to support 💗

Have you ever had this thought: “I’m over thirty, therefore, I must endure crippling pain for the rest of my life.” 🤕

Or “Exercise is inherently awful. I hate people who exercise!” 🫠😫

Or “I must just have crappy genes.” 🧬😩

Meanwhile some lithe 80 year old with average genetics is skipping down the street sticking their tongue out at us like they know something we don’t know. And maybe they do! 💃💃

On the journey of life we all endure unique stressors: injuries, somatic holding patterns, food sensitivities, structural imbalances, trauma or toxicity, etc.

But we are not supposed to be in pain! There are things we can do to unwind and recover, even for those of us with truly unique challenges.

And my challenge to you is to question some of the limiting beliefs that are binding your life. Maybe, after all, there is a way out?

Of course, limiting beliefs are hard to challenge when you are in the thick of it. I’ve been there myself. And I know for certain there is always a still small light at the end of the tunnel. Trust that light. ☯️

I will be here to support you along the way.

Holding compassionate space for your healing always ✨️ 💛

Is it really self-loving to do the yogas and drink a pitcher of water if I really don’t wanna? 🤫

My answer? No. No it’s not. There is no reason why self-care should be so miserable, and self-flagellation is the first sign that we are lacking true attunement to our bodies.

What if, instead of forcing ourselves to drink 2 liters of water, we just took more 5 min breaks throughout the day, and if we happen to be thirsty, then drink some water or tea (or *cough cough* coffee) but if and only if it suits our fancy? 💅

What if, we just cleared a safe little space for the yoga mat on our floor, and just left it there all week. If our butt happens to land on it just once to do the one and only stretch we enjoy from yoga class, then hey, that totally counts as a win! 🙌🙌

This adventure back to actual health is long and frustrating, but my intention with High Creek Pain Relief is to devote every day to taking these teenie tiny baby steps with you.

I hope this message brings some validation and relief! Like or reply to this post to support! ❤️❤️❤️
