We work with so many families who have felt stuck or discouraged trying to make traditional school environments work for their kids. If that’s been your experience, you’re definitely not alone—💛

We wanted to share a new resource we’re supporting: Aspen Grove HSE, a homeschool enrichment program.

They’re a publicly funded, planned nonprofit designed to support parent-led homeschooling—not replace it. Their program offers structured academic enrichment, individualized instruction, and community-based learning for K–6 students, all while focusing on relationships, social-emotional growth, and the whole child.

If you struggled with school this may help-come check out their parent information night hosted at Gather and Grow Therapy!

We’re so excited to host Fitness to Drive at Gather & Grow Therapy for a special community event!

Fitness to Drive is a Colorado-based program that provides specialized driving support and training, helping individuals—including neurodivergent teens and young adults—build the skills, confidence, and safety needed for driving independence. (Amazing!!)

We’re so glad to invite them into our space and welcome families in our community to this FREE Driving with Neurodivergence workshop. This is a great opportunity for teens (15+) and their caregivers to learn, practice, and explore driving skills in a supportive, hands-on environment.

We love being able to bring valuable resources like this to our community and create opportunities for connection and growth.

👉 Check out the flyer for details and registration information—we hope to see you there!

Big News from Gather and Grow Therapy!

We’re proud to share that we’ve joined the Colorado Neurodiversity Chamber of Commerce — the nation’s first chamber dedicated to advancing neurodiversity and inclusion in business and community life.

Every single day, we watch neurodivergent individuals strive, grow, and work incredibly hard to navigate a world that isn’t always built with them in mind. We firmly believe they deserve communities designed for all minds— in schools, public spaces, workplaces, and beyond.

We are committed to the individual support we provide. We’re also committed to providing meaningful supports, systems, and tools and to helping Broomfield as a whole grow into a more inclusive, informed, and welcoming community. Our clients deserve environments where they are understood, supported, and able to truly thrive.

We see the Neurodiversity Chamber as more than membership — it’s an incredible opportunity to help create a movement. A movement that elevates neurodivergent voices, strengthens inclusive businesses, and builds communities where differences are valued.

We’re excited to contribute, connect, learn, and grow alongside this inspiring network — and to share what we build together as we do!

Because Adhd is a common diagnosis many people do not realize that functional and research based support is a real need or possibility.

Longitudinal research shows ADHD is associated with:

-Lower rates of high school and college completion

-Greater job instability and income gaps

-Higher rates of relationship conflict and divorce

-Increased risk for anxiety, depression, and burnout

-Higher rates of accidental injury and earlier mortality

And yet most teens and adults receive: A brief evaluation. A prescription. And very little scaffolding or education about support. Most people dont know there is support out there or have worked so long to fight against their natural processes that it begins to feel hopeless.

Its so important to also speak to the fact that— ADHD is also associated with:

-Divergent thinking and creativity

-Innovation and entrepreneurial strengths

-High energy and passion

-Big-picture problem solving

-Deep hyperfocus in areas of interest

With minds as diverse as that—its clear that the issue isn’t capabiliy
It’s unsupported ability.

When ADHDers are given real tools — environmental design, executive function coaching, body-based regulation strategies, and identity repair — outcomes change.

Many people with adhd are given strategies that work against their brain—-and dont know that true support can be life changing.

If someone you love is in need of support that allows them to successfully meet challenges and learn to love their brain—we are here to help.

There is no age limit for meaningful support.

Have you ever wondered:

What exactly is Neurodivergent-Affirming Care? And why does it matter?

Sometimes in therapeutic language things get lost, so today we are sharing a quick look at the framework of our clinic.

Neurodivergent-affirming care means providing support, therapy, and services that recognize and respect that brains and minds function differently. It focuses on understanding a person’s unique ways of thinking, processing, and experiencing the world, rather than trying to make them “fit” a neurotypical standard.

We aim to create environments, supports, strategies, and tools to allow individuals to authentically be themselves and live a life that they want.

Effective systems and supports should work to align with and respect how individuals’ brains function, rather than attempting to override or change them.

This approach matters because many neurodivergent individuals face misunderstanding, stigma, or care that doesn’t truly meet their needs. Affirming care creates a safe and empowering space where people can be understood, make choices about their own lives, and thrive on their own terms. It recognizes that each person has unique strengths and challenges, and that effective support must be individualized so that it can meet both of these needs.

This a care framework that we feel deeply passionate about at Gather and Grow and are proud to provide for our clients in every stage of life.

Love isn’t one-size-fits-all.
It doesn’t always need words, eye contact, or grand gestures.

Sometimes love is pebbling —
a song, a meme, a quiet “this made me think of you.”

Sometimes love is sharing a special interest, inviting someone into the thing that lights up your nervous system.

Sometimes love looks like:
• Sitting together in comfortable silence
• Adjusting lights, textures, or sounds for someone else
• Fierce loyalty and remembering the little things

Neurodivergent love is Individual.
It protects energy, honors boundaries, stays and is deserving of celebration!

💛 How has neurodiversity expanded your understanding of love?

(Feel free to send this to someone who you appreciate today!)

Our Sensory Gym is now open for use. This space supports regulation through movement for children, teens, and adults, with tools intentionally selected to support bodies across ages and stages.

While our clients have been enjoying this space throughout the past month, we’re excited to begin sharing it more broadly with families and the community. The sensory gym supports services across Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, and Behavioral Health as part of individualized, regulation-focused care.

We believe access to regulation-focused therapy matters at every age, and we welcome the community to share this resource with those who may benefit.
