Fears grow in relation to the amount of mental, emotional, & physical energy you feed them - Fear can signal a need to seek safety, and in this experience, is valuable for our survival. But it seems that we often get hooked by a sense of fear that is more amorphous than a true signal of danger… a sense that there is something to watch out for yet we can’t clearly identify what it is. This often occurs with social anxiety and trauma. When this happens, try to name it as Fear, take a breath (or more), and send love and kindness to this part that is there. This helps to unhook and stops the feeding of the fear ❤️
