Grief isn’t only about death and loss of life- it can show up in many forms. Whether it’s a job change, a friendship ending, or even shifts in health, beliefs, or stability, grief reminds us that we cared deeply.
At Wellminded Counseling, we want to honor all experiences of grief, big and small. Whatever your loss looks like, your feelings are valid. You don’t have to carry it alone.
Healing begins when we give ourselves permission to grieve.

I wanted to inform everyone about a new group WellMinded Counseling is offering. It is called "Meaningful Mental Health for Men." The group will be taking place for 6 weeks at the Broomfield office for current and new clients. It will be run by Dayna Sammartino, LPC. The group will be on Thursday evenings from 5 pm to 7 pm starting on Thursday, October 9 and lasting until Thursday, November 13. Topics will cover principles from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to provide psychoeducation, challenge negative stigmas related to gender roles for men, learn productive ways of communication and expressing emotions, and expand upon ways to provide support for fellow members.
Prior to beginning the group, Dayna would offer a 10-15 minute phone consultation to ensure the client would be an appropriate fit.
The deadline to register is Monday, September 29. The cost of the group is $40 a session. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email Dayna at dayna@wellmindedcounseling.com

As we step into September, the world gently begins to shift. 🍂
The air cools, the light softens, and change arrives, not all at once, but quietly, like falling leaves.
Transitions can stir up emotion, a mix of longing, hope, and uncertainty. And that’s okay. This season invites us to slow down, ground ourselves, and notice what’s ready to be released, and what’s ready to grow.
You don’t have to rush. Just breathe. You're allowed to meet this new season at your own pace. 🤎

Feeling drained or overstimulated as the season shifts? Fall is a perfect time to gently refill your cup, slowly, intentionally, and in ways that feel nourishing to you.
These simple self-care ideas aren’t about doing more, they’re about reconnecting with yourself, your senses, and your community. Whether it’s a quiet nature walk or baking something warm, give yourself permission to lean into what brings you peace this season.
Which fall energy giver are you most drawn to right now? 🍂💛

September is National Su***de Prevention Month.
At Wellminded Counseling, we believe no one should ever feel alone in their struggles. This month is a reminder to check in on ourselves, reach out to those we love, and continue breaking the stigma around mental health. Hope and healing are always possible, and support is closer than you may think.
If you or someone you know is struggling, please know help is available. Call or text 988 to connect with the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline.
You are not a burden. You are not alone. Your life matters.

If you’re balancing the needs of both aging parents and children, you’re not alone — and you’re not imagining how exhausting it is. This session offers practical tools, emotional support, and real-world strategies for navigating the unique challenges of being “in the middle.” We’ll talk about setting boundaries without guilt, managing time and energy when both feel scarce, and finding moments of connection in the chaos.
Come ready to share, learn, and leave with a plan that feels doable!

Our clinician, Skyler Tritt, has been sitting with these images that echo Buddhist and Hindu teachings on the cycles of life, death, and rebirth. In these traditions, the spiral reminds us that growth is not linear- it’s a return, again and again, to the lessons we need most.
The snake shedding its skin and the phoenix rising from ashes both symbolize transformation, a reminder that endings are never final, but invitations into something new. Each cycle brings us closer to awareness, renewal, and deeper compassion for ourselves.
Where in your own cycle do you find yourself right now — release, renewal, or rebirth?

Mental health isn’t just a “rare problem” or “something totally different from physical health” it’s part of everyone’s life.
At Wellminded, we know mental health is:
Worth prioritizing
Closely tied to physical health
Something we all have
Sometimes hard work and that’s okay

Let’s rewrite the narrative together. 💜
