Trivia Afternoon Fun!
We had a fun—and definitely competitive—afternoon of trivia! While Norma whipped up some delicious homemade cookies, Avery led the charge with brain-teasing trivia games that had everyone thinking fast.

Fueled by tasty drinks and snacks, our residents formed teams and got into the spirit. Each team had to hit their buzzer before the others to claim their points, and let’s just say... things got intense in the best way! The room was full of energy, laughter, and friendly competition.

It was a fantastic way to spend the afternoon—great snacks, great fun, and sharp minds at work!

Our residents enjoyed a delightful outing to Wayne's Drive-In!
If you know this local gem, then you know how delicious the food is and how it instantly transports you back to the good old days. With its black-and-white checkered floors, vintage Coca-Cola signs, and friendly faces all around, the nostalgic atmosphere was just as enjoyable as the meal itself. Our residents and the Engagement Team loved every minute of it!

🌿 Garden to Table at North Shore! 🌿
Our garden is thriving, and today we were excited to harvest some fresh kale! We shared it with the kitchen team, who chopped it up and added it to the residents’ salads. There’s something special about enjoying food you’ve helped grow—our residents loved it!

Silent Auction for Alzheimer’s Awareness at Silverado North Shore

Can we take a moment to recognize how incredibly talented our residents are? Their artwork was not only beautiful, but full of heart and purpose — created to help raise money for Alzheimer’s Awareness. Many families were surprised (and delighted!) to discover their loved ones had such artistic gifts. What a treat!

A special shoutout to our jazz saxophonist, Kenny B., who filled the evening with warm, smooth sounds that set the perfect tone for a relaxed and elegant atmosphere. Between the amazing art, delicious food and wine, great company, and touching moments, it was truly a night to remember.

Thank you to everyone who attended and supported our silent auction. Because of you, we raised funds for an important cause and celebrated the creativity and spirit of our community.

Moving & Grooving at North Shore! 🚴🏈

Exercise is a key part of keeping our residents active and energized! Today, we kicked it up a notch with some intense cardio on the bike pedals—talk about getting that heart rate up! 💪

We also added a fun twist by tossing the football, which helps improve hand-eye coordination and keeps things exciting. Our goal is always to keep things interesting while challenging our residents in the best way possible… and they loved it!

Staying healthy can be fun, especially when we do it together!

This past Friday, we had the pleasure of welcoming Jay Isaacson to our North Shore community for a lively performance! His music had our residents singing along and tapping their feet to the familiar tunes. Even Buddy, one of our residents’ beloved dogs, couldn’t resist hanging out and enjoying the melodies!

A special shoutout to Iliana, one of our wonderful Engagement Assistants, who made sure our resident was looking fabulous and gave her some much-needed pampering for her hands. It was a feel-good day full of music and smiles.

A Busy & Creative Day at North Shore!

At North Shore, our residents had a fun-filled, busy day! Some ventured out to Goody Gourmets—a one-of-a-kind popcorn spot that only the locals truly appreciate (you know what we mean! 😄).

Back at the community, other residents focused on creating masterpieces for our upcoming Alzheimer’s Fundraiser on July 17th. There’s a buzz of excitement as they prepare to showcase their artwork to the public, families, and friends.

The ladies who started planting veggies and flowers earlier this season are now seeing the beautiful results of their hard work. Their smiles say it all—there’s nothing like the joy of watching something you nurtured grow and thrive.

Travel Club: Destination Italy
This month, our Travel Club set off on a journey to Italy! 🇮🇹
Residents enjoyed a refreshing Italian Cream Soda—customized with their favorite flavors—while watching Rick Steves' Travel to Italy. The room was filled with curiosity and excitement as everyone stayed fully engaged, soaking in the rich culture, history, and beauty of Italy.
It was a sweet and educational escape, all from the comfort of our community!

🎆 4th of July Celebration at North Shore 🎆
We kicked off Independence Day at North Shore with a festive and flavorful lunch, where families and friends were invited to join the fun! Our Culinary Team once's again made some sweet and satisfying lunch. A big thank you to Vitas for providing a delicious cake that made the celebration even sweeter.

But the celebration didn’t stop there! After lunch, everyone gathered to enjoy a lively performance filled with patriotic songs and classic oldies—sparking sing-alongs and smiles all around. And of course, we treated ourselves to root beer floats and some red, white, and blue cookies from our friends at Brighton.

A heartfelt thank you to Frank and Sheri for bringing the music and joy! It was a truly wonderful day filled with laughter, community, and celebration.
