Hii everyone!
This summer I’m looking for a place to take my students swimming on horse back in the brownfield/fryeburg Maine area.
Needs to be a pretty calm body of water that doesn’t drop off too quickly. Not only will this be a first time for my students but for many of my horses as well.

Most public beaches during the summertime have limit or restrictions on when and where you can ride (understandably).

If anyone has recommendations or willing to share their private beach, being appreciative is an understatement.
It’s our farm goal this year to explore and experience this. ❤️

Horse cookies!!
1 cup of flour
1 cup of rolled oats
1/2 shredded carrots or crushed peppermints
1/3 molasses
Cook at 375 for 10 minutes
I have some pretty picky horses and every one of the critters loved them!!

These girls requested to clean stalls today. We are a 24/7 turnout farm. Usually use the stalls for extra graining horses, injuries, and quarantine.
So instead of mucking stalls we scrape and drag our pastures with a tractor.

Why muck stalls and pastures?

Regardless of the amount of time a horse spends in that area, the build up of manure and urine increase the amount of ammonia, bacteria, mold, and insects. Which also leads into more health issues in your animals. From breathing, skin, and feet problems.
So keep your stalls and pastures clean/dry as possible this lovely mud season we are about to have. Let’s pray for those sunny days.
