Finally took both boys get an eye exam and they both need glasses. If they had their well child checks on time, the need would have been detected earlier 🤦🏽‍♀️

Moral of the story: don’t forget your child’s regular check-ups and don’t hesitate to take them for an eye exam if you’re concerned. Did you know we have a special device in clinic to do vision screenings, even for little ones?

Jeffrey Mendoza has been a part of our BRMC family for about 7 years. Jeffrey started his career at BRMC as an ER Clerk. From there he moved up to Clinic Medical Assistant. From there he moved up to Patient Care Advocate. Jeffrey does an awesome job! Congrats Jeffrey for successfully completing the Certified Rural Health Clinic Professional course! We are very proud of you!

I am so excited to not have to refer our young teens with gallstones to Lubbock.

PSA: don’t let your kids go crazy on the Takis and Hot Cheetohs, I swear I’ve never seen so many kids with gallbladder problems.

Now patients can have the surgery they need and stay closer to home! This makes it easier on patients and their families! Dr. Gutierrez is scheduling now!

Breastfeeding within the first hour of life is so important for baby and your milk supply. This is why I recommend waiting a couple of hours to introduce your baby to friends/family. I have two patients and I’m looking for both of you 🥰🤱🏼🤱🏽🤱🏿
