Community Rehab Hospital West is excited to announce Brittany Porter as our July Core Value Employee of the month.

Brittany joined our team during a time of transition and has braved the storm with us every day. She is an expert in her field and has done an excellent job of sharing that expertise with all of our new and existing staff by providing at the elbow education for all shifts, flexing her time as patient care demands. She has also jumped into patient experience rounding and is a major influence on our ORM being at an all-time high of 928!

We are thankful for her expertise and availability to jump in and help for any respiratory emergency that arises!

Brian was admitted to Community Rehab hospital after suffering a stroke that impacted his ability to walk or care for himself and even his speech. At the beginning he needed 2 people to help him move from a bed to a chair and he was unable to walk. Through Brian’s resilience and hard work in physical, occupational, and speech therapy he has made remarkable progress. Brian is now speaking more clearly, walking up to 300’ using a hemiwalker and dressing himself independently. Brian was a joy to work with!!! Congrats Brian on your amazing progress!!!
