May 1st marks the start of National Speech-Language-Hearing month! I started my career as a speech language pathologist (SLP) in May of 2015. It’s been almost 1 year since I started my own private practice and I’m so glad I did! I’m very blessed to have God, friends, and family members who have continually encouraged me more than ever this year! Thank you all for your support!

November 1st calls for a post to share updated availability in November and additional availability in December! Growing in Grace Therapy, LLC will have openings for 90 minute evaluations and 45 minute treatment sessions during the month of December! If your child is in need of a speech, language, literacy, and/or feeding evaluation or more intensive treatment sessions while school is not in session, now is the time to reach out and schedule an evaluation. If you’re not sure if your child is in need of these services, please contact me via call, text, or email and I’d be happy to answer any questions you may have! My services are offered at The Brownsburg Public Library, your home, or virtually! Just a little something to think about with Halloween this week! My clients and I will spend a portion of their therapy sessions this week working hard to find ways to make communicating and everything else that goes along with Halloween more enjoyable! Please be understanding, open-minded, kind, patient, and aware that Halloween can be overwhelming for some kids and their parents, especially when communicating is difficult. Thank you so much for all of the interest and support since I officially launched Growing in Grace Therapy, LLC on July 1st!

I started working as an SLP in 2015 and have provided therapy in outpatient clinics, schools, and hospitals across Illinois, Iowa, and Indiana. I’m currently providing speech, language, literacy, and feeding therapy services through my private practice. Additonally, I’m working as a part-time professor at Butler University where I am the director of the Butler Early Language and Literacy (BELL) preschool program for children with speech and language delays.

July is finally here, which means that Growing in Grace Therapy, LLC is officially open for business!

Growing in Grace Therapy, LLC is now offering The Orton-Gillingham (OG) approach literacy services! This approach is an explicit, systematic, and multisensory approach to teaching reading that is perfect for those who are learning to read, struggling with reading, and those who have dyslexia.

Summer break is the perfect time to start using the OG approach to boost your child’s literacy skills in preparation for the upcoming school year!

The OG approach helps to improve reading, spelling, writing, and oral expression using a variety of researched based teaching methods!
