When a child is “acting out,” it’s easy to assume defiance.

But what if behavior is actually communication?

Many of the children we see aren’t trying to be difficult—they’re overwhelmed. Their nervous system is responding to something that feels too big for their body to manage.

This can look like:
• Meltdowns
• Shutdowns
• Aggression
• Refusal

Instead of asking, “How do I stop this behavior?”
Try asking, “What is my child’s body trying to tell me?”

When we shift our lens, we move from control to connection—and that’s where real change begins.

Yogibo, Miles the Monster moved into my office today! So far, the kids are loving him!

He can be hugged, punched, jumped on, layed on, and the kids asked me to do a trust fall onto him, and jump onto and lay on him as well. Fun times!
