🚨💙 Happy EMS Week from Haywood County EMS! 💙🚨
This week, we take a moment to reflect on just how fortunate we are to have the best EMS staff and crew anywhere — right here in Haywood County. These dedicated men and women stand ready every single day to serve, care, and protect. Their passion, skill, and compassion are unmatched, and we could not be more proud of the team that makes this all possible.
We are incredibly grateful for the support we receive from our amazing community, our County Commissioners who go above and beyond to make sure we have what we need, and a Mayor who proudly stands with us every step of the way. This partnership and trust is what makes our service strong.
🚑 What EMS Means 🚑
EMS is more than lights and sirens. It’s about life-saving care at a moment’s notice. It’s about being there on someone’s worst day — and doing everything in our power to change that outcome. EMS is vital to public health, safety, and community well-being.
We take great pride in being a county-operated service, truly for the people, by the people. This isn’t just a job — it’s a calling.
📍 About Our Service
• Serving Haywood County since 1972 — and we’ve never closed our doors a single day.
• We run close to 4,000 calls a year, and that number is expected to rise with the exciting growth from Ford’s Blue Oval City on the horizon.
• We operate 5 ambulances, with 2 full-time 24-hour trucks on duty every single day, and a third truck providing 8-hour coverage for non-emergencies and overflow.
• Our team includes 18 full-time and 15 part time top-tier clinicians — the best in the field.
We take pride in our dedication, reliability, and love for this community. Every call we run, every life we touch — we do it because we care. Because this is our home. And because you matter.
From all of us at Haywood County EMS:
💙 Thank you for trusting us.
💙 Thank you for standing with us.
💙 And thank you for allowing us to serve you.
