If your child can’t go to school but needs to see a provider, they can still be seen by KidCare for their illness!

👉Here’s what to do:
When your child is too sick to attend school, simply call the school and ask to speak with a KidCare staff member. They’ll help set up an appointment so your child can still get the care they need. 💙

And remember—KidCare isn’t just for sick visits! We also provide:

We are excited to welcome Amy Thomas, APRN to A+ Family HealthCare! 🎉

Amy is a native of Elizabethtown and has over 10 years of experience as a nurse practitioner specializing in family practice, with a strong passion for preventative care. She holds nursing degrees from UK and WKU, as well as a Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Frontier Nursing University. Amy is also a certified practitioner through the American College of Lifestyle Medicine.

When she’s not caring for patients, Amy enjoys spending time with her husband and sons on their farm, gardening, hiking, and reading. She will be serving patients at both our Sonora and Elizabethtown locations.

🩺🐾 South Edmonson Elementary School is starting the year with an A+ in community, health, and school spirit — literally!

Today, our amazing South Edmonson team partnered up with the wonderful crew at A Plus Family HealthCare to celebrate the start of school and spread some serious Bulldog pride. Just like A+ is dedicated to keeping our community healthy, we’re dedicated to making this school year the best one yet — full of learning, laughter, and teamwork.

And let’s give a HUGE shoutout to our incredible kindergarten teachers, who are welcoming our youngest Bulldogs with open arms, big smiles, and the perfect dose of encouragement. They’re the first step in our students’ learning journey — and they’re already making the grade! 🍎📚

🎉 National Health Center Week has officially kicked off! 🎉
Yesterday marked the start of a week we hold near and dear—National Health Center Week (NHCW)—a time to celebrate the incredible impact of Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) across the country and right here in our own community.
This week is all about raising awareness of what an FQHC truly is: a place where high-quality, affordable, and compassionate care is available to everyone—regardless of income, insurance status, or background.
We’re proud to be part of a nationwide movement focused on health equity, community connection, and putting patients first.
Each day this week brings an opportunity to share stories, highlight services, and most importantly, continue doing what we love: taking care of our community, one patient at a time. 💙
