With insights from UTRGV President Guy Bailey, Andrea Figueroa Benton (NextDecade /Rio Grande LNG), LJ Francis (Texas State Board of Education), and Gilberto Salinas (GilSalinas Ecodevo Concepts) — and moderated by Texas Tribune Editor-in-Chief Matthew Watkins — the panel highlighted how education and collaboration are shaping the future of our RGV workforce.

Today we had the pleasure of welcoming City Commissioner Gustavo De Leon to Valley Baptist Medical Center -Brownsville!

We were grateful he spent his morning with us, touring our hospital, meeting with our staff and physicians, and even stopped by the ER to thank our team and Brownsville EMS.

Last week, we celebrated Rehab Week in Brownsville and Harlingen!

To celebrate, our Brownsville campus enjoyed a fun nacho celebration, while our Harlingen campus came together for hands-on staff training: covering everything from ergonomics and body mechanics to safe patient handling equipment, mobility, and positioning.
