At Brownsville ISD Food & Nutrition Services, we love watching our students discover new flavors, colors, and foods that help them grow strong and confident. Today’s fresh salad featured golden beets, a bright and beautiful veggie that brings so much goodness to the table. 🥬🥕🍅🫑
Their leafy greens provide vitamin A and vitamin C, while the vibrant beet roots offer even more vitamin C, along with folate that supports healthy cell growth and repair. They also contain riboflavin, which helps build strong red blood cells. Golden beets truly offer a world of nourishment in every bite. 🌎🌱
Introducing our BISD students to new fruits and vegetables is one of the most meaningful parts of what we do. Every new taste is a chance to build healthy habits and spark curiosity.
Gold beets = gold standards, and our students deserve nothing less. 🏆⭐️
