What a great day to have a snow ball toss. The residents had so much fun throwing the snowballs after an amazing time of playing Christmas bingo. They were flying everywhere. 😊

Ms. Donna Boswell came to Oak Ridge Manor after a brief hospitalization. She required assistance with balance’s and safety and was at high risk for falls. She worked hard on restoring her balance and coordination daily with occupational and physical therapy. Her goal was to regain her independence with self-care, dressing, transfers, and ambulation. She was able to return to the community independently with only the support of a cane. We are so proud of her accomplishments!!

We hosted a national gingerbread house day that was a huge success, featuring a contest where contestants Sherry Blount, Tony Torrez, and winner Breanne Watkins, showcased outstanding commitment. We appreciate all participants' involvement and support.

We are so fortunate to have an amazing therapy gym for all our residents to enjoy and receive the proper sessions. We have awesome therapist on staff to cover all the disciplines. We offer Physical Therapy (PT) to focus on improving mobility, strength, balance, and pain management. We also offer Occupational Therapy (OT) to help patients regain the ability to perform activities of daily living like dressing or bathing. And finally we offer Speech Therapy to assist with speech, cognition, swallowing, and communication issues. Residents may need just one or a combination of disciplines depending on their condition and care goals. Please consider Oak Ridge Manor for all your Skilled Nursing needs.

Florence Schimmel was such a treat to have at our facility. We celebrate with her on her hard work and dedication to return home. We were super excited with her progress and she did an amazing job at sharing her experience with us that we wanted to share it with everyone. Especially for those who might need rehab or be considering rehab or help for you or your loved one. Thank you Ms. Schimmel for entrusting us with your care and rehab needs.
