This summer, a record-breaking 114 Junior Volunteers worked more than 6,000 hours in various areas of our hospitals in Abilene and Brownwood. And, through the candy and snack cart sales, they raised $4,200 for Hendrick Children's Hospital.

Their energy, enthusiasm and helping hands are inspirational. We wish them the best in their future endeavors. They set a high bar for next summer's Junior Volunteers.

This Labor Day weekend, Hendrick Children's Hospital and our youngest patients were blessed by a labor of love from AKA - A Kind Act. These individuals, along with Superman, traveled hundreds of miles to hand deliver approximately 1,600 toys to Hendrick Children's Hospital. Donations like these can help ease the emotional burden of hospital stays for children and their families.
