Activities Director Hyacie Corbitt hosted Life Care of Bruceton-Hollow Rock's 4th Annual Chili Cook-Off. 👨‍🍳👩‍🍳 Guest judges were a few hungry City of Hollow Rock employees, RaSha Higdon, Brannon Phillips, and Austin Ernsberger.

😋 After much chili tasting and deliberation, they "aproned" Mrs. Beth Smothers as the champion of the chili! 🏆 2nd place went to Miss Kaci McMillin and 3rd to Mrs. Carla Roberts. Thank you to all who participated!

😀 25 high school students from all over Carroll County took a tour of Life Care of Bruceton-Hollow Rock as part of their time in the Youth Leadership Program with Carroll County Chamber of Commerce.

Thank you, Veterans! 🇺🇸 And a big thank you to Hollow Rock-Bruceton Special School District (Bruceton Middle School)'s BETA Club for assisting us to honor our veterans. Our residents enjoyed playing checkers, getting their nails painted, leading an impromptu song and the undivided attention of these wonderful teens! 😍

🍰 The students also assisted in distributing cake, handmade cards and smiles all throughout the halls of our facility. Staff, patients and visitors felt the warmth of love and care these students displayed. We can't wait to have you all back again!

🎉🧡 On Wednesday, November 5, 2025, Susan Hollowell, CNA was presented the 2025 Caring Hearts Award for Life Care Center of Bruceton-Hollow Rock at the Third Annual Caring Hearts Recognition Ceremony, presented by Alzheimer's Tennessee, inc., West TN.

💜 Crissy Summers, Social Services Assistant, nominated her, saying, "Susan goes above and beyond for our residents and families, treating them with patience, kindness, and respect. Her warmth, comfort, and smile, that is filled with joy and care, makes our facility a place filled with love. We are so grateful for all she gives every single day."

Susan was accompanied by Felicia Flowers, Health Information Manager, and Nicki Carson, Staff Development Coordinator. We are honored to have Susan on our staff, and our residents love her. Thank you, Susan, for all you do. We would not be the facility we are without staff like you! 🫶

September's Whatever It Takes Winner for Life Care Center of Bruceton-Hollow Rock is Andrea Bryant, Certified Nursing Assistant. 🎉👩‍⚕️

Andrea was nominated by her fellow associates for her compassion towards our residents and commitment to teamwork with her coworkers. They state that Andrea always has a positive attitude and a smile on her face. 😀 She is always willing to help out wherever needed, and the residents adore her! Thank you, Andrea, for your dedication to our residents and for your can-do attitude.

When asked why she chose Life Care, Andrea said, "I had always heard this was the best facility in our area, and they were right. I love working here." In response to why she loves working here, she said, "because the staff truly care about the residents and their coworkers. The facility is always clean and homelike. It's like we're all family." 💗

We are blessed to have such a great asset in our facility!

🍁 We had such a fantastic time at our Annual Harvest Carnival this week! Residents, families, and our amazing team members came together for an afternoon filled with fun, laughter, and fellowship. From games to delicious food and music, the event was truly special. 😊

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day such a success. Your support and participation means so much! 👍

Staff participated in a costume contest and a pumpkin decorating contest. Costume winners were: 1st place-Joe Dirt characters, 2nd place-Deviled Eggs, and 3rd place-Little Debbie.

🎃 Pumpkin winners were: 1st place-soldier, 2nd place-owl, and 3rd place-Oscar the Grouch. We are already looking forward to next year's Harvest Carnival!
