It has been too long since our last post! It has been a busy summer at Stellar Pediatrics! Both Dr. JT and I are still accepting patients and would love to add your family to our growing panels! But enough about us. Our sweet girl Ally celebrated her second birthday last week and was patient enough to pose for a few pictures in her party dress. She loves spending visits with our patients and getting so many pets and snuggles.

We are so proud of Ally! She is now an certified ! She worked so hard with the support of Katie and Brooke at ! She will move onto the next step in training for her quest to become a certified therapy dog! Ally is at the office Tuesday- Friday and loves visiting with friends at Stellar Pediatrics! 🌟🐕💕💕

I was thrilled to be asked back to the NAMI Maine "Beyond the Basics in Su***de Prevention" Conference again this year. As part of a joint American Academy of Pediatrics and American Foundation for Su***de Prevention grant I was honored to have the opportunity to co-present with Shamera Simpson, the executive director of ASFP Maine/ NH. It was an inspiring day of hope and healing.

Stellar Pediatrics is now open for patients to register and schedule patients. We are located at 9 Bowdoin Mill Island in Topsham.
Stellar Pediatrics is a Direct Primary Care (DPC) practice.
DPC is a healthcare model that aims to provide a more direct and personalized relationship between patients and their primary care physicians. Rather than healthcare providers billing insurance companies for each service or visit, which can lead to a focus on quantity rather than quality of care, DPC operates on a subscription or membership-based system where patients pay a monthly fee to their primary care physician. This allows providers to carry smaller patient panels and remain focused on their patients, not administrative duties and costs. Anyone who has seen me knows my #1 prescription is "go outside and play". For today's youth, that is not always as accessible as it should be. is trying to change that by offering Maine freshman the opportunity to win the outdoor trip of a lifetime through "Sara's Scholarship". This award enables students to select an outdoor leadership expedition offered by two of Maine’s best trip leading organizations.

As you know, May is Mental health awareness month. I was asked to join the 6th, 7th and 8th grade Social Emotional Learning block at Brunswick Junior High School over 3 weeks in May. I was excited to speak about the impact of our social media use on our physical and mental health. The student were engaged, asked great questions, and shared some personal stories. The impact of youth social medial use and mental health is finally getting the national attention and discussion it warrants.
