We throw parties for the darndest things! Adding two new complete elevators with electrical room and and a back up generator was a significant project and cost. This investment will provide safety and comfort for our residents for decades to come! It is worth a party… as 60 residents would attest! Longest term resident, Pat, cut the ribbon!

What a perfect name! FLUKES-Fun-Loving Ukulele Society provides music and song to audiences of all ages. Their music is lively and upbeat,  a truly beloved group of performers! We were delighted to host them at Thornton Oaks this afternoon.

What is it to live in a retirement community like Thornton Oaks? Executive Director Cindy reviewed the roles and interactions of staff and residents. These are small group meetings to encourage question asking. Future meetings will include changing topics including more in-depth information regarding the role of the Health and Wellness Director and the Facilities Director.

We are pleased to welcome Chris Heard to Thornton Oaks this afternoon. He is a singer guitarist who specializes in early American folk and blue songs. There’s a lot of foot tapping going on!
