There is still time to register for our fall session of our Teen Anxiety course. Classes begin Tuesday, September 16th from 6:00pm to 7:00pm for grades 6th - 12th at Oaks Family Care Center, 4196 Center Rd, Brunswick. This course will focus on learning mindfulness and coping strategies, practice skills for stress relief and emotional awareness and many other things to help give your teen a greater confidence and emotional awareness to help with anxiety. We served 27 families with 80 children last year with your help! There are a few ways you can get involved with blessing our families to make this Christmas extra special. Listed below are a few positions we are looking for volunteers for:

Front Desk Greeter -
We are looking for help at our front desk with welcoming clients, answering phones, scheduling appointments on the computer, taking payments and helping with other daily tasks. The days and times to volunteer are flexible.

Supervised Visitation Volunteer Supervisor -
We are looking for volunteers to help monitor (supervise) child/children with noncustodial parent or family member during their visit at Oaks. This is such a wonderful part of our ministry to help families be able to visit together. Days and hours are flexible with hours mainly in late afternoon to early evening and during the week.

Mailings -
We are looking for volunteers to help with stuffing, folding, labeling and stamping for our mailings & newsletters. Days and times are flexible and are needed only when we have mailings to do.

Do you love to be creative? Is art your passion? Please come join in on the fun with the 1st class of the fall sessions Tuesday, September 9th from 6:00pm-7:30pm. Oaks is hosting Light + Art Studio, they offer free creative community art classes for adults and teens ages 14 & up. All art supplies and instruction will be provided. Thank you very much to those who have generously donated gift cards toward our Christmas in July Gift Card Fundraiser. As of today we have received 25 gift cards totaling $470.

There is still time to partner with us this month to donate a gift card or two to help bless families. Throughout this month we have been accepting donations of gift cards to be able to continue to help support local families. The gift cards will be used to assist in meeting the extra needs for the families that use the services we provide.

Gift cards that will help: Grocery, Gas, Walmart/Target/Meijer
